Nobody knows what CRCR stands for

but the initials have become synonymous with bold storytelling and boundary-pushing animation.

Founded in 2011 at GOBELINS in Paris, CRCR was born from the shared ambition of a collective of artists: to push the limits of animation as a medium. From their very first projects, they drew attention with Todor and Petru, praised for its raw energy and strong visual identity.

Their graduation film, Les Chiens Isolés - quiet, introspective, rooted in fantasy and social realism - revealed their ability to reinvent themselves.

That critical success led them to join WIZZ Design, where they delivered projects that have become landmarks in gaming and pop culture: Valorant Champions, Head & Shoulders 'The Chase', Fortnite x Juice WRLD

It was there that their path crossed that of Gary Levesque. A graduate of Supinfocom Valenciennes, Gary joined Wizz with a signature all his own: masterful 3D technique in service of a deeply hand-drawn sensibility.
Nike x Nigo, TMNT, Marvel Cosmic Invasion - his projects reflect a sharp design instinct and an aesthetic rooted in 80s culture that is immediately recognizable.

Driven by the same meticulousness and visual sensibilities that complement each other, their collaboration became an obvious move. Together, they went on to deliver some of their most ambitious work: VCT Toronto, League of Legends: Pandemonium, Slay the Spire

In 2026, this shared adventure takes on a new form: CRCR becomes CRCR Studio, co-founded with Gary Levesque. The mission remains the same: tell singular stories, develop ambitious projects, and create space for emerging artists.

Because one thing hasn't changed: the best stories are born at the intersection of CReativity and CRaft.
